The Park Lane Renovation

Our clients envisioned transforming their basement into the ultimate cozy and moody retreat—perfect for watching sports,

entertaining, and creating a true man cave experience. As a family of four with two young boys, they were especially excited

about the space becoming a hub for father-son bonding over their shared love of sports, both on and off the field. From the start,

they had a clear vision, making the design process seamless. Their wish list included wood beams, built-ins, sports-inspired

accents, and a functional bar—and we couldn’t be more thrilled with how it all came together!

Since the home was only a few years old, we had a blank slate to bring our vision to life. We removed a small TV alcove to make way for a larger built-in that fit better on the shorter wall, streamlined the ceiling soffits, and installed durable vinyl wood flooring suited for a basement setting. To enhance the ambiance, we painted the walls and trim in a deep blue, balancing it with a soft greige on the ceiling. With plenty of space to work with, we thoughtfully divided the room into two distinct zones—a stylish bar area and a comfortable TV lounge, welcome to The Park Lane Renovation.

The final touch in the room is the collection of oversized sports photographs personally chosen by our clients. To achieve a clean, timeless look, we converted the images to black and white and framed them with oversized mats. Above, antique nickel sconces add the perfect finishing detail, ensuring these cherished pieces take center stage.

In the bar area, we maximized storage with ample cabinetry, open shelving, and a two-level island. There’s plenty of space to accommodate all entertaining essentials, from glassware to spirits, with the addition of two panel-ready under-counter beverage fridges for easy access to drinks.
