Welcome to The Riverside Drive Project
Located on a serene street in Rumson, New Jersey the Riverside Drive Project inspiration for this renovation project spurred
from a yearning for timeless design. We wanted to create a sense of coziness in an otherwise large footprint of the house. Dream
clients allowed us to take creative freedom in a lot of ways, but the "must-have" was an abundance of book storage.
We found savvy ways to accommodate the most insane book collection--one of which being the hidden shelves on the backside of the kitchen island. Another noted concept was our clients' love for casual entertaining. We opted for a custom dining table, with no head chairs, to create a casual setting for long conversations over dinner and wine. The emerald green rug in the living room anchors the space while varying seating elements, an antique coffee table and collected items help to round out the eclectic feel.
We devised an innovative method to house the vast book collection throughout the home including one of which involves discreet shelves concealed on the rear of the kitchen island.
The living room's emerald green rug serves as a central anchor, while the seating arrangement, an antique coffee table, and an array of collected items contribute to the overall eclectic vibe of the space.
We took the opportunity for an unexpected, moody powder room. Zak + Fox’s bold
wallpaper is accented by a custom waterfall vanity and vessel sink.
