Interior Designer
Hi there! I’m Peyton, an interior designer at Salt. My passion for interior design started when I was a little girl refinishing antique furniture outside of my dads barn. I spent most weekends working on my next “great idea” with my sander in hand. Needless to say, I had several unfinished great ideas, my dad even still has some of them. I tell him I’m coming back for them (definitely my forest green spindle barrel chair)…one day.
As I grew up, I still held that love for creating and pursued my degree at Kean University. During my studies, I had the opportunity to study Architecture for a semester in Rome, Italy which deepened my appreciation for design that mixes old and new. I’ve always loved antique furniture and the way it adds a sense of charm to a space. My personal style leans towards all things vintage with layers of neutral patterns, aged woods, and eclectic art for a cozy, lived in feeling.
I call my little Dutch Colonial in Toms River home, with my boyfriend Paul and two cats Gertrude and Ferguson. I love a simple life- walking along the beach, country music, farmers markets, antique shops, and really anywhere that makes a good iced latte (shout-out Lava Java…the girls in the office know this is my happy place). A new tradition my boyfriend and I have is to road trip to a town in New England every fall. We just got back from Newport, RI and I couldn’t have fallen more in love- I’m also sold on good seafood anytime.
